Baby Kate's Savannah ShowerAttended by Elizabeth's AASU Associates in Savannah, Georgia, September 28th, 2013
Nedra and I were pleased to be included in this baby shower honoring Elizabeth. We felt the warmth of her many friends about whom we had heard Elizabeth affectionately speak. For grandparents-to-be, as for Elizabeth and John, this was a momentous occasion, and we share the essence in this photoessay. Last edit: 2013-12-11

Above, left: Elizabeth, the honoree! Above, right: Elizabeth holds a dress she wore as a child. Her mom diligently cleaned to make it a sentimental gift for Kate. One dress, two generations. |

Above, left: Nedra, to whom we have all this celebration owed; it began with her. Above, right: The bear cake, closing again on the theme of generosity. The cake was made by a friend of Regina. Said differently, a stranger made this masterpiece for little Kate. The cake has been stored and will be served first to Kate on her first birthday. |
